Our intrepid photographer Emile Holba has been documenting the Festival for a number of years, hotfooting it across London, to capture as much of the action as possible. Be it sprinting backstage to capture a rare moment between Ornette Coleman and our own John Cumming, balancing on the ice outside the National Portrait Gallery with Scottish four-piece Brass Jaw, or herding a room full of pre-school jazz enthusiasts into a neatly staged photo pose in our Jazz For Toddlers workshops, Emile has consistently made it his task to draw in the magic of the Festival and to produce a string of evocative photos that promise to keep the spirit alive for many years to come.
