The Write Stuff
The Write Stuff - our intensive jazz journalism initiative for new writers - will be running again this year in partnership with Jazzwise Magazine. Now in its seventh year, it opens up fantastic opportunities for people interested in writing to get professional guidance in music journalism. Former ‘Write Stuffers’ have gone on to work for The Guardian, Jazzwise, Allaboutjazz.com, Jazz on 3 and more.
This year’s participants will have their work posted on both the Jazzwise and LJF’s websites and one review will be chosen to be published in the February 2010 edition of Jazzwise. If you are interested in participating in the Write Stuff please submit a 300-word review of a gig that you have seen recently, a paragraph explaining what you hope to gain from taking part in The Write Stuff and your CV by 1st October 2009.
The address to send it to is: The Write Stuff, Serious, 51 Kingsway Place, Sans Walk, London, EC1R 0LU or email
education@serious.org.uk
Reviews and articles will be available to read on the Festival Blog and Jazzwise websites. See the Jazzwise website for more information.
Have a look at The Write Stuff facebook page to see the latest reviews.
